BOARDING SERVICES
With a wide range of services, we are sure to have everything your pet may need.
Their Home Away From Home
At White Pine Pet Care we have two kennel buildings with in-floor heat and air conditioning. There are also large exercise yards that surround the buildings that our furry guests are allowed to play and socialize in, under supervision. We exercise dogs of like-size and temperament together in common yards, which means we require current proof of vaccinations (including negative fecal exams) and owner permission to play. We take great care to ensure that dogs are only playing together if it is safe and fits their comfort levels. This socialization helps to reduce the stress of the boarding situation, promotes good social habits, and helps keep them happy and relaxed. Our days begin at 6:30 a.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m., when we give our guests an evening treat and put them to bed for the night. In order to provide the best care and attention for your pet, we have specific drop-off and pick-up hours.Though our office may be closed, we are here taking care of the pets as usual.
Boarding for Cats
We offer accommodations for cats in a separate “cattery” room with three individual houses. Each feline boarder is provided with a play and climbing area, separate litter box (cleaned at least twice per day), toys, fresh water, and daily sanitized dishes. Our feline boarders receive lots of employee love & attention.
Boarding for Dogs
Our staff is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and stress-free atmosphere for all our guests. Therefore, our routine is based upon specific socializing and exercise times separated by quiet times before and after meals. With owner permission, dogs of like-size and temperament play together.
- Our staff is highly trained in dog safety and behavior, ensuring Fear-Free Certified care. From administering medications to providing individualized exercise, we prioritize your pet's well-being and happiness.
- For first-time boarding clients, a day of Doggie Daycare is suggested to acclimate your pet to our environment and so that we may do an evaluation to see how your dog interacts and socializes with others.
- We recommend that clients bring enough of their own food for their pets' stay. If clients prefer not to bring food from home, are unable to, or don't bring enough, we are happy to offer our own house food, a grain and chicken free dry kibble, at a rate of $1/cup.
- We provide dishes and blankets however you are welcome to bring any bedding, toys, or other items that you think will help your pet have a more comfortable stay. Keep in mind, the boarding setting can occasionally be a more stressful environment for some dogs and may result in damaged items.
- We have indoor-only kennels.
- Dogs have regular potty/ exercise breaks with staff in our large exercise yards.
- Kennels, food dishes, water dishes, floors, and common areas are sanitized multiple times, daily.
